Acute coronary syndrome (ACS) manifests as a heart attack also known medically as a myocardial infarction (MI). These include: ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI). These segments are the different parts of the ECG wave. Unstable angina pectoris, chest pain, is a further complication of ACS.
